Welcome to
Valley View
Golf Club

Becky Cox

I have been a member since the mid-90’s and have served on the board multiple times during my time as a member. I’m retired from Humana with 30+ years. My interest in filling a position on the board is to leverage both my corporate experience as well as being a former small business owner. Process improvement is just one of my skills that Valley View could leverage. I look forward to another great year of golf and continuing to watch Valley View grow.

Greg Deuser

My name is Greg Deuser and I am running for the Valley View Golf Club Board of Directors. I have worked in financial services since 1984 and with River Road Asset Management since 2005 where I am the Chief Investment Risk and Analytics Officer. As a Board member, I would like to support the Valley View staff and the City in continuing the positive momentum developed over the last few years. I will bring over thirty years of experience in finance and business strategy to my role as a Board member. I hope you will consider me worthy of your vote.

Will Dierking

I am excited about the opportunity to serve again on the Board of Directors of Valley View Golf Club. Since joining the club 10 years ago, I have had the pleasure to meet many of the long-term members as well as new members as they join. The family environment my wife, Michele, and I have experienced has been unbelievable. It is easy to see why so many care deeply about the course, club operations and members. During this time, I have also had the opportunity to gain an understanding of the history of club both operationally and financially.

Obviously with my over 27-year career in finance and acquisitions. I naturally gravitated toward gaining this understanding so that I may provide consultation and ideas to support the Club’s growth and stabilization efforts. I graduated from Indiana University SE in 1998 with a BS in Business with a concentration in Accounting. I spent 6 years in Public Accounting before moving on to work for Neace Ventures. I spent 14 years there concentrating 9 of those years with Neace Lukens Insurance (NKA AssuredPartners) for which I assisted in their sale to Private Equity in 2011. After spending another 4 years as CEO of Neace Ventures, I joined forces with two other partners to create a boutique private equity firm and purchase three (3) of the businesses I had managed for years. In 2020, I again joined forces with AssuredPartners and served as the Central States Region Regional VP of Financial Operations and Chief Financial Officer.

Over the years, I have had the pleasure to serve on several Boards here locally including but not limited to Community Montessori, Interfaith Community Council, Floyd County Legacy Foundation and New Hope Services. My family has lived in the Southern Indiana area for the last 85 + years and therefore have tried to and will continue to support the area.

I am a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and have one (1) son, Grant, who is a Junior at Purdue University studying Mechanical Engineering. Michele and I play at the club and take part in as many events as we can and are looking forward to the growth of the club in the near future.

I have just completed my 2nd term on the Board of Directors and my 4th year as Treasurer of the same. I would appreciate your vote to allow me to continue my service on the Board of Directors and see the continued improvement and growth we have worked on over the last several years to completion and beyond.

Ben Lampton

Hello my name is Ben Lampton. Let me first start off by saying what an honor it is to be nominated for the Board of Directors. I have been a loyal member for over 20 years now and have sat on the Valley View Board of Directors in years past for three years and served as the Food and Beverage Chairperson. I am currently retired and I served 25 years on the Louisville Fire department and enjoyed every minute. It taught me a lot about running businesses and I’m hoping I can use that knowledge to take forward to the board. Thank you again for the nomination and I hope everyone will consider casting their vote for me.

Logan Lampton

Hello everyone, my name is Logan Lampton and I’ve been playing at Valley View for over 15 years now and have been a member for 12. If elected, I believe my 10 years of experience working in the golf business will allow me to help Valley View in any means possible. My goal, if elected, would be to see Valley return to what it was back in its glory days without compromising the things that make it great today.

Justin Murphy

My family and I joined Valley View in 2021 with my wife Sarah and 2 sons Sullivan(4) and Lewis(3). I’m originally from St. Louis Missouri, but moved from Louisville Area to Floyds Knobs, after being there for 18 years. Before moving to Valley View, I was a member at Oldham County Country Club. I attended Sullivan University where I graduated with 2 masters degrees, and currently serve as a Software Product Development Director for a Google partner. My family moved to Floyd Knobs to be close to our extended family, and not to mention, my mother in law(Kirby Noe), won the state championship in 74’ at Valley View. My dream is for my kids to grow up here, and be part of the great community that this club has always had. My motivations for joining as a board member, is to be able to give back to this community, and role my sleeves up and work where work can be done. Keeping the beauty and love this golf course provides our family and the other families of Valley View is a priority. I have several ideas on how members can contribute and roll their sleeves up and help as well. One idea was to help drive a program that would bring love and care to our tee boxes. When I was at Oldham County CC, families were allowed to sponsor holes. Where they would be able to go and landscape the boxes. This gave families a sense of ownership and pride to be able to make the course better and contribute. I plan on being an active member, where I can continue to help where help is needed.

Dan Muscatello

For the past nine years I have served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board and have been responsible for a wide range of business-focused activities. During this time, I have sponsored and/or worked on numerous changes for the club which included creating the new tee structure, developing the club’s first business plan, writing our personnel policy and procedures handbook to meet insurance requirements, writing position descriptions and contracts for our managers, and updating our Constitution and By-Laws. I have also led the effort to balance senior playing hours, and helped increase the ability of seniors to play in club events. In my role on the Board, I draft all sensitive correspondence to include contracts and descriptions of new programs, ensure that our conduct is consistent with the Constitution and By-Laws, and evaluate new programs for political and legal sensitivity. My focus now is maintaining the financial viability of the Club as we continue to pay down our debt while introducing physical and operating improvements to Valley View. I would appreciate your support so I can continue these efforts. My background is in the strategic development and planning for airports around the world. I have a Master’s Degree in Executive Management and have been a resident of Floyds Knobs for 20 years.

Dave Storey

It is my privilege to be one of the candidates for the Board.

My wife Dee and I have lived across the street from Valley View for over 30 years and have been residents of Floyd Knobs for over 45 years. I have been a member at Valley for over 40 years and during that time served on three Boards, two of which as President of the Board.

I am retired having had a career in supply chain management that enabled me to experience all facets of business from executive committees to working on the shop floor.

If elected, I pledge to continue the momentum we’ve gained over the last several years; fiscal responsibility; opportunity for all members to enjoy the benefits of being a member; junior golf development; and promote measures that benefit and enable all members of a family the opportunity to enjoy our wonderful club.

I would very much appreciate your vote.

Drew Werline

As a young child, I was always drawn to outdoor activities and sports. From baseball to basketball, I loved the thrill of competition it fostered. In my early childhood, I stumbled upon a sport that would soon consume my every waking thought – golf. It all began when my father took me to a local driving range. After a few trips to the range, I began playing the par 3 course. The moment I swung the club I was hooked.

Golf has always been my passion, and Valley View has only made that passion more evident. But golf is not just about competition or winning for me but the journey itself. Every round presents new challenges and opportunities for growth. Valley View has taught me it's

about the camaraderie shared with fellow players that contribute to an unforgettable experience. I have made lifelong friends here and I only hope to help the membership and my home golf course flourish.
